back from holidays i am. Already for 10 days and just really arrived back here and off i am again. Vacation was great, meeting my parents and my sister rocked and having my best friend Lisa on my side is always good. Sorry for taxing your patience so much by being so moody and thanks for staying with me.
Next days i am off to Suomi with Disfear to have my road and punk show fix and see my Mumin friends.
Martyrdöd LP is still in a complete new mastering process to hopefully get a satisfying result on vinyl. Everything we tried by now didn’t really convince us so now my soundmaster Frank “SAW” Bolz is sitting over it… stay tuned, it will come out one day!!!

Fucking fast and busy weeks i had. Time flew by…
The weekend trip with Disfear was so fucking great again. Thanks to the promoters and special thanks to Curby, Insuiciety, the Disfears, Johan, Olga, Magda and Filip for the great times. The hungover from the great polish beer from Filips tap www.czarnykos.pl was brutal though.
And then up to Finland. Puntala rock with great shows from Crude and Leatherface. So great to meet the my Hakodate bros Crude, Shari, Marku, Grande Puffo, Puffetta, Papi, Bavaria Jani, Befa and many more. Huge thanks to Jukka and Ville for driving me, hosting me, feeding me and make me feel so welcome and good in lovely Tampere.
Last weekend i drove Lisas move to Berlin. Still not my town but worth a visit if i can meet my best (Marc and Hannah), Lisas roommates Ajka and Kaska and have a beer at hops & barley, thanks Philip! I also finally welcomed Lotte Karoline to this world - the kid of Norman and Karo - Love you Three!!!
Martyrdöd master was at dubplates and mastering for a new try to get a satisfying result on vinyl but it is to tricky to get cut in good quality so i need unmastered recordings from the band to get a new special vinyl mix done to get the result we want. So still in jeopardy is this release.. damn…
I am working on my next release wave in October/November with Hellshock - Shadows Of The Afterworld repress which should finally come out, ready for their tour. The regular press of the Kylesa/Victims Split 7inch and maybe one more but no talks about that yet.

For their tour I made a limited to 500x edition of the KYLESA / VICTIMS - Split 7inch on orange/black marbled vinyl. The regular version will come out in November in cooperation nwith Deathwish for the US pressing. I also did 366x special sleeves (folded A3 poster) for the LP with the great line art of the cover on shiny silver cardboard. Both available from the band on tour and some copies from the punkdistro.de mailorder.
MARTYRDÖD - “Sekt” LP is still not ready to be released, i am working on getting the sound problems fixed.
I was in the south at my parents and it was double ace as always. I did meet old school mates and it was surprisingly fun and i did a motorbike course to get back into biking and it was big fun too so expect me to be back on an iron horse soonish if Jessi gets me a nice one. And my best from Giessen became parents - Congratulations to them and Welcome Fine!!!

Back from a blazing weekend in Munich. Michel (Taken by Surprise/Kopfeck) turned 30 and crowned his party with Mönster and Revenge (the almighty 90s bavarian panzer brigade) and DJ heartfirst. What a over the top party. I crowned my Munich visit with a nice Tattoo from my friend Jani. Thank you all for the great weekend especially Saima and her parents for hosting me. WASTED TIME 12inches finally arrived from the pressing plant, one week after the tour started, a classic shitty delay. At least it turned out brilliant and the band sells quite a bunch on tour. Get your solid blue and gold copy (maybe the only chance for you to ever receive a golden record).
Martyrdöd testpressing didn’t turn out satisfying so the record will be delayed.. damn…

WASTED TIME and GOVERNMENT WARNING EUROPE TOUR starts today, don’t miss them. The WASTED TIME 12inches i made for the tour are delayed. Fuck, several things piled up again and now it’s the classic last minute/delayed story and i hate it. Records are in press but another holiday and the weekend delay the delivery so the earliest the band will have their colored copies (gold and solid dark blue!) in Freiburg. Sorry, especially to the band. CRIMINAL DAMAGE are also on tour in Europe and i look forward finally seeing them live. DISFEAR make a short Denmark weekend trip and VICTIMS fly over the ocean to rock the US… Many great tours and shows are happening the next months so my couch will definitely miss me. MARTYRDÖD LP testpressings should arrive this week and if there is no mistake the record will be ready for the Be-Part.Festival VI, 11. - 14. June 2009. This weekend (22./23.Mai 2009) is the ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA FESTIVAL #8 in Hannover.

Finally after several delays the KYLESA - Static Tensions LP European pressing is laying in front of me. Sorry to all waiting for it for so long, i did my best but bad luck and stupid shit didn’t help and my best was not enough. It turned out brilliant though. Quality and layout match perfect. Get your copies from www.punkdistro.de (there you also get a A2 poster and sticker with every mailordercopy). WASTED TIME - And So It Goes : The First 2 EP’s 12inch is in the pressing plant for the testpressing as is the WASTED TIME - Futility European Pressing 12inch. Also a little late but i do my best it’s ready for the tour. Hope my best is enough this time. Watch out, “Futility” is a damn riper!!! Both records come in thick cardboard and heavy vinyl and for their tour and for the punkdistro mailorder there will be a small quantity in color. Pre-orders are possible at www.punkdistro.de. MARTYRDOD - Sekt LP will go to the pressing plant next week for testpressings and should be out for the BePartFestival 11.-14. June.

Cross Stitched Eyes i like! Old punks just talking about their punk activity in the past and young punks only being active on myspace and consuming i don’t like. Big cities and parties not starting before midnight i don’t like. I am a small city guy and like to be in bed before 5 a.m. Maybe I am mentally old and tired at the moment but i know the fire/motivation will come back but for now i want to be in bed early and i shouldn’t leave home when i am unsocial and just go cause of social duties… Anyway, Happy Birthday Frank!!! 40 loud years and no end in sight!

I was shocked to see Relapse sells the label Drakkar Productions which
also releases NSBM records like Blackdeath which is even reviewed as
“Russian NSBM!” in the Relapse shop. Other explicit items are a CD of
Germany’s best known NSBM band Absurd, records of the far right,
anti-semitic band Grand Belial’s Key, polish band Graveland (A quote of Rob
Darken (born Robert Fudali) in an interview to Decibel magazine
“I do not think Graveland is an NSBM band. Graveland is regarded as a
NSBM band because of my political convictions, [which] most people would
call extreme right-wing National Socialist convictions.”) which are
released on No Colours records which is as Drakkar productions a label
that releases national socialist records next to so called apolitical
bands. Also in the shop is Nokturnal Mortum which is quoted as NSBM band
on Wikipedia. Nearly all details here come from Wikipedia so they might
not be 100% correct but give me enough of a picture of the tolerance
level of Relapse records nowadays. I am pretty shocked and disappointed
cause i have contact with some great people who work at Relapse and
even licensed the DISFEAR - Misanthropic Generation LP from them. Also a
shock was that it seems Swedish punk, metal and more distribution Sound
Pollution also carries stuff like Burzum and Drakkar production releases such as Blackdeath.
I am so tired of the Nazi tolerance in the metal scene, i don’t need
everyone being political activist or whatsoever but there should be a
common sense when it comes to Nazi bullshit. I would say no tolerance for
the intolerant. But it seems the so called apolitical/neutral people in
metal and also in punk nowadays have no problem with nazi tolerance and
cooperation (see a bigger band like Nachtmystium who are no Nazis but
seem to have quite some collaboration with right wing dudes). I am
really tired of all this, i don’t care about apolitical people but they
should behave apolitical and not collaborate with nazis and support
them with their “tolerance”. Nowadays it seems Burzum is cool, and NSBM
seems to be trendy no matter what assholes are behind. Also VICE magazin
wrote about Burzum just on a musical base and ignored all the
political background. All this troubles my enjoyment of metal.
I hope there will be a backlash on all this shit at one point and metal
zines and metal heads will start commenting/criticizing it again like in the 80s, early 90s and not
hyping it.
