Punk Illegal was fucking great. Much respect and thanks to the organizers and all the volunteers. I was happy to only enjoy it for one night though cause like every year it rained and i am also not so enthusiastic about two days at a festival. The one day was really great. VICTIMS - a powerful opener, pushed the action, ASTA KASK - pretty good, HERÄTYS - the shit!!!, THE BABOON SHOW - great energetic live show, DOOM - pretty solid and FROM ASHES RISE - kick ass live set, caught up where they left, power, passion and still angry. As addition or even better than the great shows was meeting so many good people again, having good friends there and finally having the FAR boys around again. Hope i can bring em back to Europe next spring. - ROCK ON

Last weekend was a blast or even a blessing. Great times with good friends and great live shows, don’t know when i got this motivated and enthusiastic about it all the last time.
The evening in Stigtomta with great friends sauna, cooking and quality beers was the best. And i have to admit Sweden caught up or even got ahead of the German and Czech brewing when it comes to the best beers cause of great micro breweries and the willingness to develop… still the overall standard is better here but if there is no progress… Enough beer philosophy.
The trip to Punk Illegal with a van full of friends the next day was brilliant too. Short info to Punk Illegal in another news. I just want to thank my Swedish punk family for being ace and for being there!!!

2010 is on and i hope you had a good start.
I added the Victims tour dates. My brödare will rock out with Municipal Waste and you should go and enjoy.
MARTYRDÖD - Sekt LP is still cursed. We finally got a new testpressing with satisfying sound but there were wrong breaks cut between the songs. Dubplates&Mastering took responsibility and will make a new cut but the master was also lost at D&M and had to be prepared and sent again. The new cut should finally happen this week and a new testpressing will hopefully arrive in the next 2-3 weeks. No idea when this record will finally come out but we are still on it.
NAILS, a great new band from Berlin will release their debut on LaFamilia and TakenBySurprise. I am happy to cooperate with my Bavarian buddy Michl on that one and NAILS are a really promising band with great, dedicated members. Testpressing will come soon, hope this one will work out without problems.
Last year ended with 3 great shows by KYLESA, HELLSHOCK and NIGHTFEVER. Live shows like that and bands like them keep me going!!!

HELLSHOCK - Shadows Of The Afterworld LP reissue is done and arrived at punkdistro today. Comes with modified artwork in a heavy cardboard gatefold cover and was remastered by my soundwizard Frank “SAW” Bolz.
KYLESA - Static Tensions LP was repressed again and the KYLESA/VICTIMS Split 7inch was officially released now. Get your colored copy (green/black marbled) from the bands or punkdistro. Hope the US version on Deathwish will happen soon/at all.
MARTYRDÖD - Sekt Lp is still in progress and the new testpressing should arrive next week. Fingers crossed that with the new mastering all turned out great now.
Sidenotes: 1.) I am university student now. I never thought i would become student but well i want something new with perspective and i like the idea of becoming elementary/primary school teacher. We’ll see if i make it through the bachelor. 2.) being godfather rocks!!! Ein Leben lang!!!

Suomi was a blast, as expected. Disfear kicked ass as did Municipal Waste. I hope i can be your lucky charm again soon. Thanks to Janne (CRI) for the great company and setting it all up. Hugs to Jukka, Ville and Jani for being so ace!!! Hangover is gone but again i needed 2-3 days to recover… damn, i’m getting really old it feels…
Martyrdöd - Sekt LP is coming closer. New master is nearly finished thanks to fast and pro Frank Bolz and hopefully next week we can order a new testpressing.
Hellshock - Shadows Of The Afterworld LP (re-release in cooperation with Ruinnation) will also go out for testpressing the next days.

Fucking fast and busy weeks i had. Time flew by…
The weekend trip with Disfear was so fucking great again. Thanks to the promoters and special thanks to Curby, Insuiciety, the Disfears, Johan, Olga, Magda and Filip for the great times. The hungover from the great polish beer from Filips tap www.czarnykos.pl was brutal though.
And then up to Finland. Puntala rock with great shows from Crude and Leatherface. So great to meet the my Hakodate bros Crude, Shari, Marku, Grande Puffo, Puffetta, Papi, Bavaria Jani, Befa and many more. Huge thanks to Jukka and Ville for driving me, hosting me, feeding me and make me feel so welcome and good in lovely Tampere.
Last weekend i drove Lisas move to Berlin. Still not my town but worth a visit if i can meet my best (Marc and Hannah), Lisas roommates Ajka and Kaska and have a beer at hops & barley, thanks Philip! I also finally welcomed Lotte Karoline to this world - the kid of Norman and Karo - Love you Three!!!
Martyrdöd master was at dubplates and mastering for a new try to get a satisfying result on vinyl but it is to tricky to get cut in good quality so i need unmastered recordings from the band to get a new special vinyl mix done to get the result we want. So still in jeopardy is this release.. damn…
I am working on my next release wave in October/November with Hellshock - Shadows Of The Afterworld repress which should finally come out, ready for their tour. The regular press of the Kylesa/Victims Split 7inch and maybe one more but no talks about that yet.

For their tour I made a limited to 500x edition of the KYLESA / VICTIMS - Split 7inch on orange/black marbled vinyl. The regular version will come out in November in cooperation nwith Deathwish for the US pressing. I also did 366x special sleeves (folded A3 poster) for the LP with the great line art of the cover on shiny silver cardboard. Both available from the band on tour and some copies from the punkdistro.de mailorder.
MARTYRDÖD - “Sekt” LP is still not ready to be released, i am working on getting the sound problems fixed.
I was in the south at my parents and it was double ace as always. I did meet old school mates and it was surprisingly fun and i did a motorbike course to get back into biking and it was big fun too so expect me to be back on an iron horse soonish if Jessi gets me a nice one. And my best from Giessen became parents - Congratulations to them and Welcome Fine!!!

Back from a blazing weekend in Munich. Michel (Taken by Surprise/Kopfeck) turned 30 and crowned his party with Mönster and Revenge (the almighty 90s bavarian panzer brigade) and DJ heartfirst. What a over the top party. I crowned my Munich visit with a nice Tattoo from my friend Jani. Thank you all for the great weekend especially Saima and her parents for hosting me. WASTED TIME 12inches finally arrived from the pressing plant, one week after the tour started, a classic shitty delay. At least it turned out brilliant and the band sells quite a bunch on tour. Get your solid blue and gold copy (maybe the only chance for you to ever receive a golden record).
Martyrdöd testpressing didn’t turn out satisfying so the record will be delayed.. damn…
